Hey everybody (whoever is still reading)
Just thought I'd post a thread to show that these forums aren't completely dead. Well about six to seven weeks ago I sprained my ankle really bad, heard a pop when I did it (jumped up trying to dislodge a basketball, not very high, and rolled my ankle). It swelled up pretty good, from halfway up my shin to the bottom of my toes, and turned a bright red as well. Definitely tore some stuff but x-rays were negative. Eventually had to take some medication for an infection (i think that's what it was) from the redness that would not go away. Well my ankle is now back to a normalish size, still a bit thick, but got myself an ankle support and finally went for a run! It was only 2 miles, but hey, a run is a run, there is very little pain walking around after that which should go away soon, but it's a good sign that i can start exercising, and dare i say, playing sports within a few weeks. Sorry if this was a colossal waste of time if anyone actually read this, but hey, at least that means these forums are still being checked. How's everyone else doing? |

Good to hear you're back in doing some exercise.
I've been doing two weekly lift sessions and two training sessions at Muay Thai. Atleast most weeks I get all of this in. Lost about 4-5KG in last week or two since I split up with my girlfriend. Relationships suck arse. Hoping to get my eating back up while I've got some time off work and try and recover . |

Yea, I laid down a bike...
Was just wishfully thinking it was sprained for about 6 weeks, before i visited my parents and my mom had me get it x-rayed. |

I'm going back to the gym today. Hopefully I can handle the heavy work load.
I've been doing light lifting at work, and a lot of body weight pt. Been running a lot lately though, fun shit, we have been running on trails in the mountains. |

I'm glad I've never broke ne thing hahaha, but yeah goodluck with your lifting. Wrists play a huge part for me in a lot of my lifts, so take it easy.

It was the first bone I've broken in my life... other than a insignificant stress fracture in my foot like 10 years ago.
It sucks. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. PS: Anyone wanna buy a bike ![]() |

Haha, well I am gonna post this and see if anyone wants to comment. My running went well for a while and then i went back up to school, it was cold and so i didn't run recreationally, did some basketball and soccer though. I got home for winter break and ran a few days, and now my knees / joints hurt. The knees are my biggest concern as I have had problems with them in the past (reason i wasn't a hurdler in track). When I walk down stairs they pop with each step (the left one pops twice), they don't really hurt on stairs, but will occasionally hurt while i'm walking. Any recommendations? This has hindered me from doing squats as well so I was wondering if anyone had any alternative less stress on the knees exercises to replace squats for now. Also, I was suggested to chondroitin with glucosamine to help with joint pain, anyone know anything about this stuff?

I saw a commercial for berry juice with chondroiten and glucosamine today.
They said it tastes better than the pills and multi v's.
