Hey guys I used to work out frequently and post here about 2 years ago but I lost interest and now I'm trying to get back into working out again. I started off at age 16 about 5'11 ~145-150lbs. At my peak, after a couple of months I weighed about 169 lbs. But then I got bronchitis or pneomonia or some illness like that and I stopped working and lost about 15 lbs. I never fully got back into working out after that.
I recently started working out again. Currently I'm still about 5'11 155 lbs. I want to bulk up and then cut to weigh about 170-175 lbs. but I'm having a hard time with the dieting. I have the naturally skinny body type so it's even harder for me to gain weight. I know I should be eating a lot more than I normally do but all the eating seems like a chore, especially since I don't have a set plan on what and when to eat. I don't know really know how to cook and I'm sort of on a budget (first year college student). Can anyone help me set up a diet for me to follow to achieve me goals? |

Sorry for the HUGE delay, but my account's not worked for a few months.
Bulking is hard for a lot of people. I used to think I was packing in tons of food before when I bulked, this time round I've managed to almost double what I'm eating and I've gained 1 1/2 stone, that's about 21lbs, in just over half a year. As with losing weight the best way to understand how to change to get your goals you need to see what's going into your body. Food diaries are boring, but they quickly show you where your nutrition sucks balls and needs work. I hate calorie counting, but I just keep a rough idea in my head by having a quick look at what I'm eating each day. Hopefully you've not given up on this thread just yet.. |
